From 20 to 22 May, the AQUASERV project was presented at Aquafuture Spain 2025, the leading international trade fair for the aquaculture sector in southern Europe. The event was held at IFEVI in Vigo.

María Huete Ortega and José Luis Soengas from CIM-UVIGO represented AQUASERV and introduced the project’s mission, as well as the opportunities for funded access to research infrastructures that support innovation in sustainable aquaculture.

«Aquafuture was a unique opportunity to demonstrate how AQUASERV can promote high-quality aquaculture research for academia and industry alike. Many attendees were hearing about the project for the first time, so it was rewarding to raise awareness of the Transnational Access opportunities, » said María Huete Ortega.

The team engaged with visitors at the CIM stand, where project materials were distributed, and presented AQUASERV to a diverse audience during a plenary session.

AQUASERV’s presence at Aquafuture Spain 2025 helped to strengthen the connection between science and industry and highlighted the project’s role in supporting the development of innovative and sustainable aquaculture practices across Europe.
