Funded Access Programme
Through our programme, eligible researchers from academia and industry can use state-of-the-art resources and specialised facilities in the fields of sustainable aquaculture, fisheries, ecological restoration and the blue economy. Check our available services in our service catalogue.
What does the programme involve?
The programme provides researchers with the opportunity to access advanced research services across Europe, completely free of charge. All access services are covered for accepted projects, including:

Access to specialised research facilities.

General laboratory materials and standard consumables

Travel, accommodation, and subsistence for up to two users per project

​Your access to research infrastructures can be made through two modalities:
Applicant researchers are supported to travel to one of our partner facilities in Europe and use the research services they provide in person. In this modality, applicant researchers have their travel and accommodation paid for by the project.​​
On-site
In this modality, the research services are provided by our partner facilities, so applicant researchers are not required to travel to that location. Examples of remote services include (but are not restricted to):

Collecting, processing and shipping samples and/or specimens

Taxonomic identification of specimens

Rearing of organisms

Analytical procedures

Using strains from culture collections

Calls for Funded Access
You can apply for funded access to AQUASERV services at any time.
AQUASERV has an ongoing open call for funded access and periodically launches specific calls focusing on key research themes, such as ecological restoration, aquaculture, fisheries and the blue economy.
