Who can apply?
To be eligible for AQUASERV Transnational Access (TA) services, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Eligible Applicants:

PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, researchers, or engineers.

Affiliated with a recognized academic institution, a not-for-profit organization, or a registered company.

Based in a European Union Member State or an Associated Country. Applications from individuals or groups outside these regions may be considered, though with some limitations.
Project Proposal:

Applicants must submit a project proposal that demonstrates innovation and relevance to the TA services.
Transnational Requirement:

The home institution of the main applicant must be located in a different country from the selected access provider.
Additional Eligibility Conditions:

The applicant must be the Project Leader, assuming primary responsibility for the project's execution if accepted.

PhD students are eligible. Master's students can participate if the project is led by an experienced researcher; however, AQUASERV will not cover their travel and subsistence costs. Bachelor's students are not eligible.

The applicant must have an active contract with their home institution, ensuring coverage of insurance and other provisions during the access period.

Collaboration with research and technical staff at the Access Provider is encouraged but not mandatory.

If your project is accepted, you must agree to archive the data obtained from the TA as Open Access (with opt-outs allowed) and ensure any related refereed publications are also Open Access. For more details, refer to our page Procedures for AQUASERV users.
