AQUASERV’s Online Conference Showcased the Value of European Research Infrastructures

AQUASERV held its first online conference from 12 to 16 October to discuss the latest discoveries in aquatic sciences. Hosted on the b2match.com platform, the free, open event highlighted the importance of research infrastructures, such as those provided by AQUASERV, in helping scientists advance their work.

Scientific presentations covered a broad range of topics, including the impacts of climate change on pelagic and benthic habitats, aquaculture, fisheries, environmental monitoring, biodiversity indicators, innovative imaging methods, and vitamin extraction from invasive species. Many of the results presented came from projects conducted on the AQUASERV’s research infrastructures.

The research infrastructures showcased facilities, instrumentation, and services available to users at reduced or no cost through the AQUASERV access programme, enabling high-quality research and training for researchers from academia and industry worldwide.

Following the first successful edition, the second edition of the AQUASERV online conference will take place in 2028. Stay tuned!
